Overview:
As an SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) Functional Consultant, you will play a critical role on the Production Solutions team supporting the production environment and its CI related activities. This role will also take on enhancements in the backlog when time allows.  You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure the production environment is fully supported, issues resolved, and enhancements are made to their existing SAP landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively engage with IT delivery partners, prioritize issues and monitor queues and monitor outputs from the team.
  • Production Support: At the highest priority, all production related issues should be evaluated, resolved, and documented to ensure a quick and thorough mean time to repair for any issues that arise.
  • System Monitoring: Monitoring SAP systems for performance, availability, and potential issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Follow appropriate departmental and company procedures and policies (i.e. change control, security and auditing, release, configuration, problem and incident management).
  • Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving system issues, incidents, or user problems reported through tickets or alerts, adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigating the root causes of recurring issues, identifying patterns, and implementing preventive measures to minimize future disruptions.
  • Emergency Response: Being available for on-call support or participating in the resolution of critical issues during non-business hours or in emergency situations.
  • Billing & Invoicing Support: Expectations are to provide 24/7 during billing and invoicing periods for the 2 days prior and 2 days post billing and invoicing.
  • Enhancements: Collaborate with end users to enhance the business processes and end user experience.
  • Requirement Analysis: Gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for SAP Fiori applications.
  • SAP Integration: Ensure seamless integration of CI with the existing SAP modules and systems.
  • Testing: Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and functionality of CI, and address any issues or defects.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides, configuration guides, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and assist in resolving any SAP Fiori-related issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on CI best practices and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and optimizations.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support and interface with key processes of standard SAP SOM within the SAP BRIM solution including master data, orders, contracts and product modeling for SAP SOM within SAP BRIM/Hybris Billing solution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Should have 10+ years’ experience as SAP functional expert in SD/CS areas.
  • Experience with the SAP S/4HANA Convergent Invoicing module is required.
  • Proficient understanding of the configuration and standard features and functions for SAP CI within the SAP BRIM solution is mandatory
  • Understanding of how CI interacts with other modules such as SOM and FICA
  • ​Minimum 4 years of experience in crafting / developing / maintaining highly scalable and resilient system in the SaaS business models
  • Minimum 3 years of SAP experience implementing SAP BRIM/Hybris Billing
  • Hands on Functional Configuration and Design Experience
  • Certifications in SAP SOM & CRM (preferable)
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules, data structure, and business processes, particularly in the context of SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Creating BIT Classification
    • Discounts
    • Taxation
  • Specific knowledge of SAP Convergent Invoicing processes within the SAP BRIM solution including billable item management, billing and invoicing processes and integrations is a plus.
  • Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Advises clients on how SAP BRIM CI functionality will deliver business value through the implementation of best practices
  • Has expert knowledge of functional and data flow into and out of CI and impacts to other SAP processes (SOM/CI/FICA)
  • Responsible for design and configuration of CI functionality and support related development efforts
  • Responsible for creating functional specifications for business requirements that convey the needed development efforts for the ABAP team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • SAP certification or relevant training
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Familiarity with agile project methodologies
  • Knowledge of other SAP technologies and modules beyond CI is beneficial.
